About Us

Hi, my name is Carrie, and I am the founder and website developer for nurses4him.org. As a Christian nurse, it has long been my prayer request to develop an online site for Christian nurses to come and encourage one another in the work of Jesus Christ as it relates to the nursing profession.

nurses4him.org is the answer to those prayers.  My goal is to provide available resources for Christian nurses worldwide so that we can interact and support one another.

I would enjoy encouraging you, your staff, and/or your fellowship group personally! Topics: Spiritual Care, Holistic Self-Care(see CARE of Thyself), Praying for nursing and the profession (Colossians Prayer) and serving Jesus in nursing!

Carrie's Christian Pathway

While I was taking my prerequisites for my associate degree, I became a Christian. It was definitely a "born-again" experience. I had been searching through different religions, philosophies, and ideas to make sense of the world and deal with hurts from my past.
As soon as I "prayed that prayer" and dedicated my life to Christ--I was transformed.  Now as a Christian  I discovered purpose, meaning, and guidance for my life.  Through my eighteen year journey as a Christ-follower though not perfect I have endeavored to become more like Him not only in my personal life but also in my nursing career.

Carrie's Nursing Pathway
Like many working mothers, I obtained my RN through an associate degree in a community college in California. Later on, I returned to school for my bachelors and masters degrees.
I began my nursing career as a full-time med/surg nurse. After ten years and completing my masters degree, I took a full-time position as a nursing instructor for a community college.  Even though, med/surg is my specialty and most of my experience, I did a short period in hospice and enjoyed caring for patients and their families during this difficult time in their lives.  Currently in addition to my teaching responsibilities I occasionally do on-call med/surg for a local hospital.
My passion throughout my  nursing career has been to communicate and encourage other Christian nurses.
